Anyone else give Cuttlebones to their breeders?

Just curious really. I decided to buy a few today.. $0.88 at WalMart so I'm not out alot but I figured they might chew on it for the calcium and minerals like a salt lick...and if not that then just as something to wear down their teeth. Anyone else use it? Any reasons I shouldn't? I've never tried it... figured it couldn't hurt much though..
