Ceratophrys joazeirensis

CokeOfMan Nov 02, 2004 08:17 AM

I looked on AmphibiaWebs list of amphibians in Brazil and I saw "Ceratophrys Joazeirensis". I had never heard of this species, nor could I find a picture. Does anyone know anything about it?

If you look in some of the horned frog books commonly available (maybe it is in de Vosjoli's) there is a very small amount of information listed. I have never found anything in depth about a few of the different species in Ceratoprhys. Part of the reason I suppose is that it is not in the pet trade and probably won't be at least any time soon.

I unfortunatelly say to you I'll probably never see this pac. It's a very rare specie from northeastern Brazil and even rare here. I have never seen a pic.
