I've heard that salmonella can be carried by BD's. Is this true?

Is it ok for my beardie to be fed an occasional mashed banana?

I have one of those flexible vines set up in my tank. A lot of times at night, my little beardie will climb up to the highest point on the vine, plant himself there and snooze away. It's funny; it looks like he could fall off anytime. Normal?

There is little risk of salmonella from bearded dragons but always practice proper hygiene when handling any animal, reptile or otherwise.

Those vine things could be a problem once the dragon gets older and heavier as they could come loose. Other than that, I suspect once the dragon gets too heavy to hold himself up, he won't be able to climb so high.
