I think this is a good sign summer is gone. We got our first snowstorm of the year last night, not counting January. We usually get our first snowstorm of the year in October. The mountains get their first snow a few months before we do on the Front Range (where the prairies meet the mountains). Just when I was beginning to think we weren't going to get any snow until November, it goes and dumps 7" on the last night of the month.
