Once upon a white Halloween

zelaphez Nov 02, 2004 09:33 AM

I think this is a good sign summer is gone. We got our first snowstorm of the year last night, not counting January. We usually get our first snowstorm of the year in October. The mountains get their first snow a few months before we do on the Front Range (where the prairies meet the mountains). Just when I was beginning to think we weren't going to get any snow until November, it goes and dumps 7" on the last night of the month.

Here's a view from my window Halloween night:

And one from yesterday morning:

I'm not sure I want popular opinion on my side -- I've noticed those with the most opinions often have the fewest facts.

What is that bizarre white stuff that's covering everything where you live?
Sincerely,

I'm in Denver. And before you think it, it isn't always cold and snowy here like people think.

I rescued him from the VA Retile rescue. It was more like stealing him.LOL.I have another female comming in next week from high yellow parents. The female I purchased from Terry is really starting to settle in and is fattening up .She ate 7 fuzzies Saturday.I had some husbandry issues with her at first but I have it figured out now.She would not use a heat pad.So I put her under a 60 soft and she likes to hang out in the mid 80's temp wise.I got some great breeding advice from Terry also today.Im getting pumped up for breeding season and I know you have to be dying for it to start also.LOL.Thanks Jimmy for getting my new addiction off to a great start...Paul
