I was wondering if anyone in here was familiar with toad headed agamas? I just acquired a couple but without a species name. I'll try to take a pic soon, but in the mean time the best description is that when excited or stressed they have tha ability to turn their head an emerald colour. I'm just trying to find out what species these are.

Many different ones. Different colors. When stressed they usually curl their tail up over themselves.

I personally do not have any, or know much. I do have and breed some agamas, L stellio stellio, and will be breeding sheild tail agamas also. So I look into agamas and read, when I can.

Heres a little piece about a few, and some pics, not good, but can get an idea! Good luck, if I find anything I will post it. Can't wait to see your pics!

With 43 or so species even the internet is limited.

Sorry the pics aren't as clear as I'd like. I think the camera got dropped once too often.

These guys are pretty calm and easy to handle. Getting him to color up on demand is like getting a beardie to puff up. So this is the best I could do for now. But you get the idea.

What a little cutie he is, really pretty face color ! I like agamas alot, something NICE about them, They always have sweet faces.

Have to talk sometime through "email" , if you ever breed them.

I like him ehehhehehe !
