Lost Red Tail

Dresden Jun 29, 2003 10:29 PM

So, I'm in the process of moving, and my parents are currently baby sitting a few of my animals... Well, after my mom changed my red tail's water, she didn't latch the top of the cage on well enough, and she got out. She's now in the basement. I've confirmed that. She escaped last Sunday night. I saw her Tuesday. She's in a pipe that runs the circumfrence of the basement floor that leads to the sump pump well. The sump pipe is too small and buried for her to get into, so she has to be still in the pipe. Is there any way I can lure her or drive her out of it. I have a box with a heat pad in it not too far from the entrance in hopes that she gets cold and wants to warm up... But other than that I'm at a loss, and I haven't seen her or any sign of her since Tuesday. Someone please help. I want my baby back. She's about 6 feet long to boot.

Thanks for any help.

maybe you should get a feeder mouse(well maybe u would need a rat) and a SMALL wire cage and put it outside the pipe near the box. even if she cant get to it she will smell it and come out then maybe feel the heat and go into the box... its a long shot but it might work.

i would say flood the pipe with a hoze and the the snake will come out. i've used that same idea in the forest looking for snakes and i have seen Bradey Bar do it to!!
