Hello Everyone

Just thought I'd drop off some eye candy...

Seems like there are some really beautiful treeboas out there! I've dropped by this forum now and then but will try to make an effort to post more often.

Wow, beautiful snake. What is his/her future? Are you planning on breeding back to an Amazon or Emerald. I know in a earlier post someone got all slugs from a hybrid breeding.

Hi,
Well I'm lucky enough to own 4 of these guys that represent 2 different bloodlines, up until this year I really made no concious effort to breed them (the oldest animals are freshly mature)but I think I may try to breed 2 of them together to see what happens.

I think it's a little to soon to assume that these hybrids are infertile and more of them are popping up here and there so it'll be interesting to see what the future hold for these guys.

I am generally not a fan of hybridization but my need to learn everything about Corallus compels me to try breeding them. Hopefully I'll have more to repor on this in the future.

Very cool. Is he fertile? From a breeder's perspective, what do you do with a snake like that?

urbanjungles Nov 02, 2004 06:52 PM

As I said above, I can't be sure of whether or not he's fertile yet, hopefully this girl will help me find out. From a breeder's perspective I think that hybrids are generally horrible, but from a Corallus fan's point of view you can't help but notice how beautiful these animals are. I would probably not own...and definitely not breed any other hybrid snakes.

If I never breed these animals I'll be completely content to just sit in my snake room and stare at them for hours on end like I currently do.
