How many years old treeboas can mate first time? Because treeboas are tropical snakes, may they mate 2 times per year or development of juveniles are too long and treeboas get offsprings therefore only 1 time per year?

In captivity, around 3 years is the earliest I can confirm in males and around 4 for females. Emerald and annulated treeboas tend to take a bit longer. It really tends to be a matter of size more than age sometimes.

Because treeboas are Viviparous (Give live birth) development generally takes a bit longer and most treeboas will reproduce only 1 time every couple of years. I don't think these animals would reproduce every year in the wild (but no one really knows for sure). Just because it is warm in the tropics, it doesn't mean most animals breed all year 'round. Many times breeding seasons are defined by seasonal changes in temperature and rainfall.

I Hope this helps Toomas.
