I'm gonna post some pics of my little couple. They're about one year old now and they are growing so fast! Chico, the little boy, is a little bigger than Tania, my lovely girl.
In this picture, Chico is on top. Look how tiny they were!

Ok, I took this picture 9 monthes ago. I still used to cage them together. And standing here looking at this pic, I don't think it was a problem....

Ops, I forgot to tell.. on the last picture, Tania is on top.
This is Chico nowadays. Thay are in diferent cages now. And he is a teenager with some nasty attitudes. Hopefuly he will calm down a bit when he grow a little...
Its not a good picture though.

And this is my sweet little girl. She is so docile... I'll get rid of her cage and let her free roam as soon as she grow a little more.
She is a south american ig, that's why she has all those marks. As she gets older, the marks will becoming lighter. Chico also is a south american ig, but males tends to lose their color very soon, becoming dark brown when adults.
Hey guys, let me know if you understand my english... Again, I'm from brazil...
Thanks for your attention

Well, it´s easier when you have a couple. Chico´s femoral pores are much bigger then hers, although they are still very small. They both have the same age, and he is bigger. He starting to show some bad attitude, starting to get territorial. When they were caged together, he would always eat first, always bask on the highest branch, and he would do a lot of other things that are common on males iguanas. He has bigger spikes also. Let me think... his dewlap is bigger too. So, because of all that, I´m pretty sure he is a he.
I think it´s easier when you have a couple, cuz you can put them together and compare. I´ll try to take some pictures of their femoral pores at this age, so you can compare with your ig´s pores. As soon as I take the pics I´ll post here.
It´s good to know that my english isn´t that bad.
Later,
Daniel
