New Gouldi hatched out...

Just hatched on Sunday, still has his egg sac to absorb. Doing great, hopefully more to come.

pull the monitor out of the egg?

It should be alright but that is not a good thing to do. It hasn't boded well for the animals (monitors, beardies, pine snakes, etc) i have gotten 'overly excited' about (its hard to wait).

It hatched by itself...And its a Gouldi X Flavi

I just haven't seen too many reptiles that hatched out on their own with that proportionate size yolk sack.

I am sure you will keep us updated with pics. send me an email, i would like to obtain some from you fairly soon.

If you look at the picture you see alot of condensation. In the begining it might not matter so much but in the end they need to be a bit dry so they can absorb that yolk sac.

Now that you have went from one extreme to the other maybe next time you'll hit in the middle someplace.

Thats what DK said as well. The others in that clutch I lost were too dry, thats why the moisture. I do need the middle hopefully yhe next batch.
