How are the temperament of carpets? Are they pretty handable?
I would rate them "top notch" in temperment from my own personal experience. Neonates are very nippy, but calm with relative ease. They are very curious snakes and will approach to "check out" what you are doing. Not a single carpet that I have ever owned has even struck at me once after the age of 6 months or so. My 4yr old male Papuan has never struck at me a single time, not even as a baby. I would rate them as handleable as ball pythons.

mine are both good snakes.....the male is probobly less into being held then the female. my male has tried a couple times to bite but managed to miss thank god..LOL....he is about 6ft
it depends alot on how the snake was raised also

depends on the individual. i have a 6 foot jcp and she is great with handling. i can distrub her anytime day or night. only time i wouldn't try to handle her is when she smells a rat coming.:0)
