BTW, how does anyone know when they are sleeping or not? It's not like they close their eyes.....

Actually, their eyes sink back into the sockets quite a bit and of course they're less repsonsive. It's pretty obvious when they're asleep, especially with adults (young ones seem to sleep much lighter).

yea, they pretty much sleep all day long, and their pupils are very constricted while they sleep.
Also don't the spikes along their eyes kinda fold down or look collapsed?
