drummagirl Nov 03, 2004 02:08 AM

The little guy shed out a few days ago, and I snagged some quick pics. Last pictures for a good couple of weeks! I think I might call the little dude Stitch...but who knows

To everyone who's been posting pictures lately, all of the animals look BEAUTIFUL!! Haven't been able to find much time for the forums lately Take care everyone!

Such a pretty orange face.

I love that little guy,he's got some killer bands on him. That was the reason I picked out my little sarawak.Oh and nice coloration on him also, what a score.I've been keeping away from the classifieds.Later, Ethan

drummagirl Nov 05, 2004 12:18 AM

lol...yeah, I need to keep away from those damn classifieds! That's ok though...I still don't have any remorse for 'falling of the wagon' with this guy

Would be a fitting name, I love his overall body color, seems pretty light, and the orange of his head is just killer.

drummagirl Nov 05, 2004 12:16 AM

Hey Amelia,

If you're who I think you are, I think this is one of your babies. You and Erik Spisak at ES Tropicals, right? If so, thanks!

Yes I am Amelia, Erik's gf, the blood looks great, its so hard parting with good looking babies like that, I really hope you like it, and I hope it turns out very good for you. It looked familiar to me as soon as I saw the pic, and the timeline of the shed goes right along with the time we shipped it out lol, that was its first shed as well, some of its siblings are just about to shed as well, it seems like their first shed took them forever though. I guess it pays off though, as for the orange head on him, it looks amazing, reminds me of how it looked when it first hatched, I hope the coloring stays for you, generally darker babies end up with darker adults, and lighter ones can turn out pretty nice, the parents themselves have some good orange coloring to their heads though. Hopefully your baby wont turn out with the attitude they have, although they are aggressive, they came to us as adults, so I guess its how they will stay. Im glad I actually get to see one of our babies that has gone to a new home though.

drummagirl Nov 06, 2004 03:13 PM

Hey Amelia!

I too am curious if the orange head will stay that way. I've never raised a borneo with this type of coloration, so I'm pretty excited to see how he's going to turn out. I'll be sure to keep everyone updated with pictures of him I don't anticipate any attitude problems with him....I obviously haven't handled him yet, aside from the few pictures, but I'm extremely confident that he'll grow into quite the gentleman

Oh. My. God. In that third pic he looks airbrushed! I haven't ever given much thought to getting a Borneo, but now I know what I'd want it to look like. Nice score!

Hey Carole,
Who says pumpkins only grow in patches. That head on that guy is remarkable, and he reminds me a lot of the Sarawak's that I've seen. Lovely! and great score.

Hey buddy!

I'm crossing my fingers that he'll keep that orange coloration. Don't really recall if the orange stays fairly well or if it usually fades on these guys.

Take care!

Thank you Kevin. I'm curious if the orange color will hold on as he matures. I haven't had one colored like this, so I'm eager to see what will happen.

Thanks for the kind thoughts...today IS going better....bad stuff is going to happen, but....its not happening now, so I'm just gonna keep carrying on and enjoying the beauty of the moment. Take care kevin,
