Is this a trans-pecos copperhead

Craig_V_Rensburg Nov 03, 2004 03:56 AM

Hi,

I am looking to buy some trans-pecos and found these for sale:

http://market.kingsnake.com/detail.php?cat=40&de=267915

The snake in the left thumbnail image looks like a classic trans-pecos but Im not so sure about the snake in the right thumb image.

What do you guys think?

Any comments appreciated.

Craig

The right thumbnail could be an intergrade. Depends on where the snake comes from. If it's wild caught, there's alot of territory in west Texas where laticinctus/pictigaster intergrades are found. Juno Rd and 277 have these integrades.
Best..
Jim

Hi Jim,

Thanks a stack for the info.

As tempting as it is, i may not buy these.

It seems so hard to find good true pictigaster (especially CB).

Take care

Craig
