I'm new and i need help!

chamTM3 Jun 29, 2003 11:12 PM

Hi I'm new to the forums. I own a 5 month old veiled. His casque is kind of crooked at the top. Is he sick or is he just growing? When I took him out today there was black outlining his casque , it faded when he got comfortable. He has been behaving normally , he eats well , drinks , and basks/sleeps at the proper times. He is getting moody when i take him out of his cage but i know that's normal at this time. He calms down after I scratch his throat.
I am getting another veiled or panther , is it to late in the season to get a baby?

any help would be great.

Hi there,

I have a veiled chameleon that has a croocked veil too. Im guessing it has something to do with a calcium deficiency when he grew the casque or a small fracture. Have you ever dropped him? It may be just an irregularity, like jackson's chameleon horns. I hoped this helped.

Anthony
