2/3 This was one of the sick anacondas I got a long time ago
3/3 This was the other sick anaconda I got a long time ago, both the green and yellow are pretty much 100% healthy now
Both the male and female green look great, glad that the sick ones are now doing good. How are the greens temperments? I have always liked condas and was considering getting a male green once some cb babies are availble again. Till then I am just reading up on them..eventually I would like a male green and yellow..but I will see what one comes first. Any input from forum members would be appreciated.
I have to say in my collection of snakes the most docile and least "flightly" is my female green anaconda. But I have yellows who are deffinitely not quick to strike and never even shows signs while in your hands. But I also have an african rock that has yet to strike. I even have a somewhat calm amazon tree boa. I also have one you can count on for a blood test every time. My friend has a yellow from the same line as mine and she will pee all over you and strike 5 times while attempting to pick her up. Its all in the snake and all in how you work with it.
Well of course its how much work you put into a snake that can have a big difference on how it turns out in the end of things..like some of the snakes that have reputations like bloods or retics, where mine are perfectly fine because they have been handled..and keeping up with it will keep them that way most likely. Thanks for the reply..
I will have to agree with eunectes4, the 7' female green anaconda is tame as ever, only snapped at me one time, which I think she was just in a bad mood because I woke her up... :S BUT I've had her since she was maybe not even a month old, and she was docile as ever even then. The male green I have is well, we will just say has a GREAT feeding response. He was sold to me as a CB/LTC, which doesn't make any sense because he is still a baby, but he would have to be wild caught, and if I wouldn't have bought him, him and the yellow would have died within the next few weeks. But his temperment isn't so bad, he has never snapped at me, but he has looked like he was constircting by how fast he would coil around and get to your finger or hand, but after he smells and knows it's you, he is awesome. The yellow, the first day I got it, it was deffidently snapping around every 5 seconds, but within the next couple weeks, became very docile, so yes, I would agree with eunectes4 on it just depending how much time and effot you would give to the conda, and deff stay away from W/c, because the male I have is probably only tame because it realized that it was feeling a lot better in my care. But if you find a C/b Tame Green or Yellow with a good breeder or pet supplier, hands down to ya
This is just a little info on mine

That's the smallest "7'" green anaconda I've ever seen. Beautiful though.
She isn't exactly 7', she is more like 6'4-7", but trust me, she is a lot bigger than she looks in that picture, stretching her out, she is longer than I am tall
This picture was taken a pretty long time ago in a 5' bathtub, and she has grown some from then
