Any ideas on repairing aqarium screen lid

I have a top for a 20L tank that has a hole in the corner about the size of a baseball is there anyway I can repair it? The hole starts from the frame so there is no screen left along the fram in the corner.

Cut an appropriate sized patch and silicone it. Goodluck, Clint
