The point of view of an European citizen (more....)

H+E Stoeckl Nov 03, 2004 05:19 PM

As a german citizen I should be glad that George Bush has been re-elected. This makes it easier for Chancellor Schröder of Germany and President Chirac of France to retain their refusal getting involved in the Iraq disaster in any way. It would have been impossible to slap the outstreched hand of a new President by the name of Kerry.

So Germany and France can be happy that the new President is called Bush.

But why am I not happy but scared?

I am scared because the most powerful nation all over the world consists of about 51% citizens who are fools (no insult, but a finding).

These people just re-elected a President who lied to them on the reasons of a war and who sent thousands of innocent people into the death for this lie (Americans, Iraqis and all others who are involved in this war).

On the other hand the same people almost kicked a president out of office only because he lied on an embarrasing detail of his private live (sexual relationship with Monika, where nobody was harmed).

These people allow a president who has run 5 companies and ruined them all to rule the most powerful country all over the world. In my opinion a man who isn't able to run a company isn't able to run country either.

These people voted for a president because he is (like them) of (at best) average intelligence and has problems to perform a speech. Yeah, this may make him likeable in a strange way but does this qualify him to run the most powerful nation of the world?

I am really scared now to see so much power in the hands of fools and blind patriots who carry on denying that Bush lied and carry on to justify the war on Iraq.

Now I feel a tiny bit of the horror and fear that fills the innocent people who are suffering on the aftermath of the war in Iraq.

Even more now the U.S. has become a loose gun in the hands of a gunslinger and nobody knows who will be the next victim.

To Fred: Apology accepted. To the other 49% for fighted against Bush: You can be sure of my esteem and my respect.

God bless America (HIS blessing is terribly needed now) and may HE protect the rest of the world from a nation obviously run by fools.

Yes, it was. I admit to being childish here. I'll be willing to bet no one ELSE will admit to it though. I'm simply entertaining myself. I'll even call MYSELF names. This cruddy election is over, I put my veiws at the link below and it's time to enjoy life a little more now that it's over.
