Purchasing a bp

Mike_ny Nov 03, 2004 06:54 PM

Id like to pick up an albino ball for my son but never purchase any reptiles from the stores by me. Can anyone give me the name of a reputable breeder and/or a typical price for one

We purchased a hatchling from Bob Clark Reptiles a couple of months ago. Our BP arrived healthy and eats F/T mice every five days without a snag. Bob is quite reputable in the business, was very friendly and spent quite a bit of time with me on the telephone, even though I ordered a run of the mill $39.00 mormal male, and not an exotic $40,000.00 critter.

Best of luck!

First, I forgot to include this information, then I posted to the wrong thread. Hmm, one of those days I guess...

I think the price of an albino, or any morph, can vary quite a bit from breeder to breeder. The "list" price on Bob's website is $2,500.00 You can look here for more info:

If this is your son's first snake, then get a normal. He can learn how to take care of it and it'll be just like all the high priced albinos and other morphs except that you won't be paying major bucks and have all those special genes and patterns. Definitely purchase one from a reputable breeder so that you'll know that its captive born and breed. Don't get stuck with a wild caught from a pet store. That's more than you really want to deal with.
