My husband caught a snake on a glue trap at work. I posted in the "what kind" forum and was told it is either a midland or northern water snake. So, now I would like to know what kind for sure, and what I need to feed it. Thanks for any help

It looks like it's in BAD shape. I'd offer it small minnows in a shallow dish. If it's too weak to eat on its own, you may have to assist feed it by placing small prekilled fish in the snake's mouth and letting it make the effort to swallow. If it's still too weak, you may consider tube feeding or force feeding but those are last resorts. Make sure the snake stays warm and has adequate hiding spots in its enclosure.

If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask here.

Good luck.
