Ever heard of this brand / web site??!!?

I was about to make a purchase and thought what better resource to find out about a new (to me) product or company than through this. I'm interested in buying a Mega-ray SB or EB all-in-one bulb from a company named Reptile UV, and wondered if anyone has heard about this company or these products? The information compares to the mercury vapor bulbs out on the market (Powersun and Active UV Heat). Does anyone have any experience with this company or brand? Thanks

I've heard the product is very good as well as the customer service. The owner is a regular poster on the yahoo.groups UVB Meter Owners Group.

The bulbs sold by Reptileuv.com are made by Westron Lighting. The same bulbs and heat emitters are also sold by www.uvheat.com. Incidentally, Westron is also the manufacturer of the T-Rex Active UV Heat self-ballasted bulbs. I purchased a Mega Ray heat emitter and so far I am very impressed with the heat output for the wattage and the cost. I do however dispute their claims that the emitters are safe. They can be very hot and I suspect that an animal could easily get burned by unregulated exposure to the bulb. I so far have not used mine except to test how hot it could get a hot spot [150 F 12" below]. Once I have it hooked into a thermostat I will have it in regular use [had to order new thermostats]. The externally-ballasted UV bulbs being made by Westron and sold on both sites mentioned above look to be very promising in terms of UV output and overall life/continued high intensity of UV. I will be purchasing some other their EB UV setups for a couple of my animals in the near future. Oh, yeah and to answer your question I was satisfied with my reptileuv.com purchasing experience.

Thanks Matt for the great info. I live in Colorado and keeping up the humidity is hard enough, let alone the temperature. I have used both the Powersun and the Active UV, and had acceptable results, yet nothing stellar. I came across these products in another reptile discussion and the guy spoke wonders about them, however before purchasing them I wanted to get a few other 'non-biased' opinions. Thank you very much. I think I'll give them a try.
