agressiveness

"Elvira" has allways been a sweet snake, and I handle her daily. Two days ago about 5 minutes after feeding, she began striking at me from inside her cage. I took her out and looked her over, but there was nothing obvously wrong with her. I work as a vet tech, so I brought her in the next morning when I went to work. The vet checked her over and still, nothing. This morning, she still seemed a bit on edge, not at all her usual, loving self. Has anyone ever had this happen? I dont know what to do. I've checked everything in her enclosure, nothing is out of the ordinary. I ran a fecal about 2 weeks ago which came back negative. Any help would be appreciated. THANKS

She's probably still in a "feeding frenzy". It's a good time to let her be alone for a day or two.
On a side note, I think that handling a snake daily is a bit much, and will cause stress. I try & stick to 2-3 times a week, you especially don't want to be holding them a day or two after a feeding. -- maybe just my opinion, David

What i would recomend is to not feed her in her cage. This way she will not think food is coming. Place her in a seperate container for feeding.

From what I've noticed from my boas (2), they're kinda like robots around feeding time. Takes 'em a while to snap out of it. That's why I feed IN the cage.
