Heres some picks of true dwarfs, the top two are V.gilleni and the bottom one is, V.caudolineatus.
These are hatchlings that are 2months of age or less, both species can and do breed at around nine total inches. The gilleni can be over five inches at hatching. Caudos hatch out much smaller.
Its funny to me, to think that all you have to do is raise a monitor a few inches from hatching size and its large enough to breed. Afterall, some species have to be raised feet to have that happen.
