New Breeder Questions

momtowildones Nov 04, 2004 10:44 AM

I have my first two eggs in the incubator and we are coming on the 35th day. I used Albey's directions for incubation.

Is there anything i should look for as a sign that they are going to hatch?

When should I take the tops of the containers?

If they hatch while I am at work, will they be okay on the perlite until I get home?

Thanks for your help! I guess I am just a nervous expecting Mom!

They will look HUGE a few days before they hatch, like they are going to explode. Then (hours before hatching), you should see a slit and they will look deflated.

Just to add water if needed or once every few days to allow air flow.

Yup
