Snout Damage, need help !!!

gemdreamer Nov 04, 2004 01:28 PM

Hi, been here before with questions regarding these two. i received them from a person, who could not keep them. anyhow is there some sort of snout diease that CWD can get? these guys snouts look terrible, at first i thought it was from the mealworms, but now im not sure because its not getting better.

i moved them into a large wire cage, hoping also it would help.

any suggestions?

mouth rot is cheesy discharge from the gums and can destroy the teeth and the jaw and eventually cause death. Snout rub is common especially with wild caught waterdragons. A little vitamin C in their diet will protect them from a mouthrot infection. Also a little betadine applied once a day if it looks really bad.

I would take them to the vet and have them looked at. If Mouth Rot gets really severe it can make it so your CWD cant eat
