Morph Question

kryptos_herp Nov 04, 2004 07:22 PM

I have a question regarding the result of a cross between a striped albino california king and a banded albino california king. Will the resulting cluth be 50% striped albino and 50% banded albino, or will broken patterns result?

All albinos (providing they are the same albino gene - should be)

Some striping (may not be complete).
Maybe some bandeds; definitely some broken bandeds.
And some aberrancies.

Good luck.

Are they the same color? Ive seen the pink and yellow striped albinos and the more lavender colored bandeds, and breeding those together would give you double het for albino since they are not on the same chromosome. Thats just what Ive seen here, I dont know if the ones you have are the same albino or not. It shouldnt be hard to make a striped lavender, as stripes are more dominant I hear.

Good luck with your cross!

Now to locate a three foot, female, pink and yellow, striped California King. Shouldn't be too hard, right?
