These are of the wide-banded blackbelly male. He did not settle down so I resorted to holding him. His bands are very wide and the ticking inside of the bands has straight edges. This first shot is a profile.

Once again - nice animal and great photo! I have a couple of those black bellied S. Ga animals myself. They are my favorite!

I didn't notice the back drop in that photo. It is an 8.5x11" photo print (cannon 9000i printer) of a brown snake found in MD last spring. I have it tacked onto my desk. I guess its about 2 feet away from my hand. Tonight I'll try to post the file I used to generate the shot.
