Question re: Grain Mites

princesskain Nov 04, 2004 11:48 PM

I have been overtaken by those teeny tiny little bugs. First they hit my crickets. I opted to go with a complete cleanup - I got rid of 500+ crickets and soaked their enclosure free of mites. Now those little critters are in my mealie colony. I am rather sad at the thought of disposing 2,000 perfect HEALTHY mealies (not to mention the bit of pride that goes with raising them). My question is - Is it ok to still feed the mealies to the lizards? I am not trying to be naive, I just wonder if anyone else has been faced with this dilema. It's sad to think about wasting all that food. *sighs*

ANY advice would be much appreciated - Thanks!

I really wouldnt give them to your geckos because you dont want them to get inside of their body and make all hell break loose in there.
