There are loads of "mite" posts in this forum. Use the "search forum" link and keyword mites. In the mean time, soak the snake in water, this will remove some, and change the substrate to paper towels. Some people use Provent-A-Mite or Reptile Relief and I've even heard of people using Nix (but this stuff is EXTREMELY strong) so you may want to read up on that one before trying.

You'll probably find more advice in the search.

are exactly the same thing. The active ingredients in Nix are the exact same in the aerosal form. The only difference is the NIX is $6 a can, not $20.....and you can get it at your local drug store....CVS...Walgreens. The best treatment is to never get them in the first place.

Have fun.

I knew this one guy who got mites really bad, and he used sevin dust. He threw out all of the substrate, *removed the water bowls*, and sprinkled it on the bottom of all of his enclosures. He left them there over night, and in the morning he cleaned everything really well. No more mites. However, I would treat the whole room. Just in case they were in the carpet. What ever you do act fast. Best of luck to you, Quinton
