Alligator snappers and cold

matt43 Nov 05, 2004 12:14 AM

Hello,
This is probably a silly question, but can an alligator snapper survive the cold wintry conditions found in the Northeast USA? Do they hibernate? There are plenty of regular snappers in the region. Wondering if alligators could make it too.
Just curious.

NO! Too cold, too long for ally snappers. I am in Maine so i more than know where you are coming from.
