My stem mom has insisted that the iguana is ok since she is 10 years old and has insisted on taking care of her and has told me to leave her alone. Due to this shed has inproper heating/lighting and lathargic behavoir improper diet,no humidity and lots of retained shed im interviening because ziggy has lost a quarter inch of her tail but i need help. How can itreat the tip and all the shed? what can i do to prevent infection. I know this sounds really weird but please i need help!

Make sure all the shed is gone from his tail. If it isnt then soak the tail until the skin loosens and peel it off. If you want to treat the tip that has falled off apply betadine to it daily and keep it really clean.

I would be more concerned about the dietary/light/heat issues you mentioned.
