Opinions Wanted...

Camlon Reptiles Nov 05, 2004 10:37 AM

Does anyone else see a link between these 2 different Balls? Just wanted some opinions, and maybe it's just something I only see.

Thank you,

Debra

I really do not see anything, but again it may be just me... What do you see?

Thanks,
Wyatt

They both have the fading in the lower part of the dark pattern. It would be interesting to see full belly and dorsal pictures and to hear what they are thought to be. Has anyone crossed Mojave and YB yet? I've wondered if the Ivory isn't just the most pigmented extreme of the "leucistic" group.

First, look at the "fingers" comming up from the belly. Same general shape/pattern witht eh only difference being the yellow within the the YB fingers. 2nd, the upper pattern elements are bordered with an even, dark border before shaply blending into the side blushing, which is also nearly identical in nature. By this year, I'm sure we'll get a YB X Mojave cross....would be shocked if you didn't get a leucistic form from that cross as well. YB, Mojave, and platty/lesser platty...all related? May be. Can anbody get a similar side shot up of a platty or lesser? What about a butter, fire, etc.?

Cinnamon & Yellow Belly...They look similar to me. Since they both produce patternless snakes, maybe you're onto something.

Atistaldi Nov 05, 2004 05:12 PM

Yeah I was going to say Cinny and YB too. I see the white faded (what'cha callit) patterns coming up from the sides look pretty similar on both types of snakes. Does a Mojave look like that on the bottom too? That's a very interesting speculation on the similarities.

I think woman are more detail orientated so we see it easier.

Tell me what your feminine eye sees in this little girl. I picked her and another ch up this spring. I figure they are at least worth the $25 I paid for each, at least at the size they are now, lol. I wouldn’t sell them but I will bother to breed them and look for similar looking offspring to breed back to check on the off chance of a more interesting super.

these are pics I posted 3-4 months ago----(lost charger for digital so I haven't posted any pics lately)---that one is similar to what I have but I will post a recent pic later today or this week

draconian Nov 08, 2004 03:22 PM

here she is entirely---she was a diseased import baby that almost died on me- I gave her novascand(sp?) and after about two weeks she was eating--up until a month ago when all my snakes went into cool down she was a monster then she completely stopped eating(I'm worried)--she is really skinny again so I seperated her and gave her another treatment but anywhay here is the pic ---if you have pics of the belly I would like to see them

I would have to say a yellow belly and a cinnamon. Hopefully someone will make this cross soon.

I wish! She isn't anything in particular. She hatched out this fall and her dad's a black granite looking snake but I don't have a clue what's going on with his babies... I wish she were a cinnamin or a yellow belly or something!
