Eye Coloration?

Convicts4Ever Jun 30, 2003 05:18 AM

Has anyone seen an albino ACF with almost white skin, and very very dark blood-black eyes? All I'm used to seeing are ones with a rich cream-gold colored flesh with very light pink eyes. The other day I obtained a small albino male with the odd colored eyes and skin. Anyone on here know if this type of coloration with ACFs or other frogs is common or even seen? If so, please answer here, I'd like to hear some encounters with them!

It sounds liek you got(I can't remember which is which, I'm no phase expert) either a melanistic, or leucistic, or amelanisctic frog. Keep a hold of him.

My one ACF has black eyes and the other has a lightish brown color. I dont have any idea what this means.

Thanks! I found out that he has Blue eyes, so he's leucistic. It's very uncommon in these frogs, and only 1 in 10,000 of them are born with this trait. He's worth a lot of money, but I have no plans to sell him because he's already one of my favorites. Amazing what you can find when you're not looking for it!
