Scenting with a deceased beloved pet

caecilianman02 Nov 05, 2004 04:31 PM

Hi there:

Today my very young golden Axolotl passed away. I have no idea what happened. He just dropped dead. I had him for about 16 months. Anyway, I am freezing the body. I was wondering if you thought a mud snake would accept prey items scented with the slime of a frozen Axolotl.

Test it. It should work. Although, being you don't know what happened to it you would probably be better off scenting with something alive or freshly put down. You might unknowingly pass to your mud snake whatever killed the Axolotl. I wouldn't try it. Just something to consider.
