wtf sick?

ilvk9s Nov 05, 2004 04:50 PM

I have had my whites for about a month. Ever since I got him his routine has been consistent, he basks under the heat lamp all day (temp in mid 80's) then when evening falls he will come down and wait for his meal (crickets). The last three days he has rested on the opposite end of the tank where the temp stays around 74F. He will not come down, in order for me to get him to eat I have to place him in front of a cricket and he will eat it but his appetite is not near as good as it is supposed to be. After eating the cricket he will immediately go right back to the spot he has been in for the last three days. His humidity stays between 70-80. Am I doing something wrong or is he sick? I had been dusting just about every cricket but my boyfriend said I should only dust every few not every one. I hope I did not make him sick. Please advise, Thanx
P.S. I moved him to a slightly bigger aquarium about a week and a half ago.

he probably is still adjusting. I wouldn't worry about it as long as he is still eating. You can have the humidity a little lower too, down to 50% if you want

you also only want to dust the crickets once a week. 2 parts calcium powder to 1 part vitamin powder. And be sure to gut load the crickets. Good Luck.

Thanx guys, he seems to be back to his normal self, thank god! I have reduced the cricket dusting to once a week and I always gut load them. Thanx again.
