Catching your own prey

Has anyone here ever considered or currently hunt and or trap your own prey? For example squirrel or bird traps, etc. Im sure people have a variety of opinions on this.

Personally,I woudn't reccomend it!There are alot of parasites and bacteria in wild prey that a captive snake's system can't deal with.I knew a guy years ago,who fed wild animals to his burm, she ended up dieing from a high parasite load!Freezing might kill off most of the parasites, but I'm not sure.
Just my opinion, but I'm no "expert"!
