Leo Problem, advise needed

kcsuther Nov 06, 2004 01:27 AM

Okay, so I was going to feed him and i noticed that he had one eye open and one eye closed, I really didn't think much of it but he is still keeping that one eye shut with the other open, my question is, could there be something in his eye? has anyone ever had this problem?

I dont think that it is anything to worry about. My leo does the same thing but only at night. When I tap on the glass he opens both eyes and seems to be alert. Unless you can see that it is locked closed (crusty, gooey) I think your fine also when he opens his eyes you might want to check to be sure that both of his eyes are clear and have no gooey stuff or anything in them. If they do this can be a sign of infection, ect. which can lead to blindness and more serious problems.

An update: He doesn't seem to be doing it anyomre, i just found it weird how he would do that just because he is usually pretty active at night.
