Great books for iguanas ?

mizar 21 Nov 06, 2004 08:22 AM

I'm looking for a great book on iguanas , any suggestion ? I know that "Iguanas for dummies" may be a great one but does it contain all the same stuff that MK sites have ? I dont want to buy a book that i can have for free on the internet.

"Green Iguana: The Ultimate Owners Manual" by James W. Hatfield III. It's kind of pricey, and not quite as easy to read as Igs for Dummies, but there is a LOT of information in there. Think textbook quality. He goes more into depth on subjects like diet. For example, instead of saying "don't feed catfood or don't feed monkey biscuits" he takes a 1.5-1 page saying "don't feed catfood because..." and then another 1.5-1 page saying "don't feed monkey biscuits because..."

If you're looking for something that contains more information than what you can find online, that's the book you're looking for.

There is more in the Melissa Kaplan book than what's on the website. And the book is much easier to navigate. It's hard to search the site.
