Wut's up guys? I'm new to the whole owning lizards thing but I'm curious if any of you could possibly answer my question. A few days ago I accidently picked up my gecko wrong and his tail broke off...I know they grow back and what not but I was wondering if anybody might know the time frame? How long will it take to grow back...it was about half of his tail...the other half is obviously still in tact...any help any of you can give me would be much apprecieated. Thanks!!

My brother's eyelash gecko dropped it's tail and all it grew back was a nubbin. But he's a different species so I'm guessing his tail was never going to grow back.
My guess is probably about a month or so. Just for it to start growing that is. I'm NO EXPERT, but that's MY OPINION.
I hope his/her tail grows back fast. If it is bleeding or anything you could put a little neosporin on it and also some flour on the neosporin( it'll make a paste and dry so maybe the gecko won't try to lick it off or anything)

Well first off, that sucks man, my male's tail fell off before i got him. The tail will grow back in about a month, you just need to give your gecko some wax worms because he no longer has that extra fat. Id say about 3 wax worms weekly. But this is what you'll be looking forward to on the new tail, there is a pic of my gecko in my profile that has the broken tail, its the dark bliz.
