Newbie getting a caimen tues. and have a few questions.

TreyB Nov 06, 2004 03:24 PM

Ok, Im getting a baby diamond caimen and ill let ya know what I have. Hes going in a curved glass aquarium which measures L-48 in. W-18 in. and H-21 in. I half way have it set up but I would like some pics/ideas on how to make it look great. As of right now I have the substrate as black gravel with a giant artificial fancy plant ( However I would like to put real plants in there but I don't know if a.) It would work? and b.) Which ones I can put in there? I also have some slate rock thats stacked up so he can get under or on top. I have alittle money left to play around with so if there is a substrate that would be better, or anything that I could get to kinda make the aquarium look more realistic like his habitat any ideas would be greatly appriciated. Thanks and if you know where I can view some tank set-ups or have any pics that would be awesome. Thanks TreyB

My advise is to make it easy to clean. You don't need a lot of stuff in the tank with it so save your money. In a year or so, this setup will be too small for it anyway.
