constapation

how do you know when a snake is constapated and what can you do to prevent it?

A warm bath in the kitchen sink works well.

You might notice that your bp isn't pooping and you might see a bulge in the snake. I haven't experienced it first hand, only what I have read in caresheets.

...to help prevent it, make sure fresh water is always available.

Ball pythons not infrequently "hold on" to the stool until a shed occurs. They'll shed and then take one of those "mega-craps".

If you don't powerfeed this is especially common.

This really isn't constipation but rather normal bowel physiology for many BPs.
