Gotta Vent about the Cruelties of Life

mks Nov 06, 2004 09:14 PM

Howdy All, I am sorry but I must vent about something. I have carefully set myself up over the last 9 months to be able to breed pastels this year. Well life seems to have made other plans for me. Let me explain....I have 0.24 BPs. 3 of these are over 2000 grams, most in the 1500-2000 gram range. And of course life has gotten involved everytime I had enough for a male pastel and hit me something to rob me of my snake. First I moved and it was way more expensive than I thought. Next it took longer for me and my wife to get jobs than it should have, further depleting the savings account. My truck broke down. It has been an interesting year to say the least. I am not asking for pity or anything, just needed to vent about it. I suppose I will be sitting pretty next year with REALLY big girls all ready to breed. Maybe life is just trying to tell me to wait a year, but it is infuriating. Has anyone else ever been through anything like this....please share. Many Thanks for taking the time to read this rant.... Matt

If you have that many females, you could have sold 2-3 of them in order to buy a male pastel. By now, it would probably be difficult to find a breeding size male pastel for sale.

I hear you!I produced pastels this year, and then lost my job!I was hoping to use the money for albinos and ghosts, but ended up living off it!I'd have to agree with some of the other guys, sell some females and buy a male pastel.I've seen adult males for $2500,you might even be able to trade for one!
Hang in there, and best of luck.

Or even better! 6 for 1.1 pastels and 1.1 100% Het Albino

Or even better then that 5 for 1.1 pastels and 1.1 100% nerd line orange ghosts.

Wow! If I were in your position I'd take all three offers. You'd end up with 3.3 pastels (coming from 3 unrelated sources) and a pair of het albinos and still have 12 big normal females left! What a great breeding group! It's actually much better than your original group plan, with just 1 male pastel and 24 females - no way would he be able to service all of them.

Go for it!

Even better - was posting when the 4th offer was made

4.4 pastels
1.1 het albinos
1.1 het orange ghosts
and still have 7 normal females

Wish life was that nasty to me!
