I think we all have seen photos of dragons that just don't match any of the identified species. I have never seen that one though. It is a beauty.

Do you suppose the identified ones are the ones that are more abundant or are they less startled by humans who invade their space? Some of the photos that I have seen, like the one you just posted, look as though they would be more visible, not less.

It would be interesting to see just how many species there are. It's still amazing to know that there are many species of both plants and animals that have not yet been identified. A bit overwhelming don't you think?

I think we only know of the more distributed species. The Sunda region including vietnam, Laos, Kambodja is still full of unpenetrated rainforest areas which very likely harbour a lot of yet undescribed species - and of course not only herptiles.
Lets see what future brings
