i'm new to the forum and would like to know when is the optimum time to put the first years down in s. texas as we've already experienced our first cold front of the year. if they have had several successful meals when do most of y'all put 'em to rest?

I always took my adult animals off feed on Nov 1, put them down Nov 15, and started warming them up on Feb 1.

With yearlings, especially problem feeders, I would leave them up all winter and feed them all that first winter.
