SERPENTBOY Nov 07, 2004 04:08 AM

Hello.... I was wondering if i could get a lil info here.... I recently got in a 1.1 of 04 hi-end corns from this Azzhole... his collection was obviously infested with mites.... they came in a big container with repti-bark... now i use that in some of my cages... the rest I use pine and aspen... My ? is now only my tanks that have repti-bark as bedding have mites in them.... nothing else.... only in the bark... is there something that draws the mites just to the bark..? I have completly seperated the cages and snakes that had mites none of my others have them and Im almost certain i got rid of them.... Just wondering if ne1 good answer that bark ? 4 me.. and reccommend nething other than black night or cloud.. wutever it's called.. I have herad of ppl killing their own snakes with that... ne info would be gr8... thanx n advance... Mike...

sorry to hear that youve had mite trouble.. theyre a real pain to get rid of.. it can take 3 months for the whole life/breeding cycle of the mite to see if theyre really gone..
we had great success with a product called "Reptile Relief" by a company called "Natural chemistry" you can use it directly on the snake and the cages.
as for the repti bark ive no idea

wishing u luck
