Largest Pacman

kungfu2811 Nov 07, 2004 11:53 AM

I havent posted here in quite a while so I dont know if anybody remembers me or not, but here is the question. Is there anything you can feed a pacman to speed up his growth and help him reach maximum size? Im thinking about getting another pacman, and want to see how big I can get this guy to grow! :D

Thanks,
Andrew

Well, I don't know if that is very healthy. There has been a debate a while ago about powerfeeding, weather it causes any harm or not.
How big they can get, from what I've heard the larges ones get about 6 inches. They are usually females.
IMO it's better to let the frog grow in it's own rate, without powerfeeding.

I was talking more about what would be the best thing to feed him to get him to grow the fastest and largest. But if its going to be bad for the frog then im not going to do it, ill just feed him the regular stuff(crickets, earthworms, that stuff). Its going to be a little while before I actually get the frog though, im going to try and get some pacific frogs to breed for me, and if im successful with rearing those guys then I will try and get a pair of pacmans to breed.

Nightcrawlers really pack on the weight. I feed my female almost solely on these, and have for a few years now. I think she has topped off in her growth now though, at almost 5 inches snout to vent. But she still loves her nightcrawlers!

I don't really powerfeed her, I just feed her when she comes out from her self-imposed burial. She'll stay burned for about a month, then one day I'll come home to find her out and about. Then I feed her about three-four nightcrawlers and she digs right in again.
