I finally got a chance today to snap some pics of my newest acquisitions. The plan was to NOT acquire anything new this year, but how can you pass up lineaticollis?!

Here are photos of pair #1. Both are a little testy.

Female #1 (she has the most color -- lots of red showing through):

Here is pair #2. Both are lighter in color than the first pair, and much more docile. I haven't gotten so much as a tail rattle out of these two.

When we discussed lineaticollis a few months ago I had no idea that a group of cb hatchlings were about to be unleashed on the pit world. When I did find out I had already plunked down my last available herp money on a couple of pairs of really nice mandarin babies. Oh well. I'm so happy that the species is finally available in the hobby.

Very cool! Welcome to the club! LOL! I agree it was hard to pass them up since they've never been available.

...just got 1.1 from Amazon Reptile Center on 11/23, and they both ate a live fuzzy mouse on Turkey day.

Does anyone know of any additional bloodlines of lineaticollis? Evidently San Antonio Zoo has some but what about the private sector?

The source for my pair is from a supposedly wild-caught gravid female.

I used to breed a fair # of Pituophis in the 80's and 90's including d. jani but when I saw the lineaticollis I had to get in on them.

Any info is appreciated!
