How are bites by Ptyas (Zaocys) carinatus?

I have a plan to keep that species. Are they very big biters and are their bites dangerous?

Dr. Fry says on his web page:

"bites without effects in humans"

...by some larger specimens with no effect in any way.
They are just awesome snakes to work with...they feed with furosity!

Hey,

That snake looks suspiciously like a chinese keeled ratsnake (Elaphe carinata carinata) rather than a Keeled ratsnake (Ptyas carinata). You sure you got the ID right?

Check out this page (chinese):
http://homepage3.nifty.com/japrep/snake/namihebi/elphe/text/echinasyu.htm

vs. Dr. Fry's page (keeled):
http://www.kingsnake.com/toxinology/images/Ptyas_carinatus.jpg

Am I just being ignorant? All chinese keeled ratsnakes I've seen have yellow spots on black. The few keeled ratsnake pics I've seen have white on black instead of the more yellow. I know it's a juvie, but to me it looks more like a chinese.

Cheers,
Dave

Forgive me...I thought Elaphe Carinata was what this discussion was about.
