Don't forget collard greens, endive and escaroli. Variety is the best way to go, using as many stables mixed in as possible.

...also, spring mix, grated yellow/green squash, bites of mango, strawberry, watermelon, grated green bean, peeled & grated cactus pads, carrot. . .yes, once a beardie starts eating greens & veggies, VARIETY is the key. beautifuldragons.com is a terrific resource for figuring out what to put in the mix.

i try and use most of the staple greens on this list
http://www.greenigsociety.org/foodchart.htm

just remember to have some variety. i try to get different greens each time at the store. but i always use collards, the dragon seems to like them alot and they are high in calcium. my dragon was a rescue and has mbd, so he needs all the calcuim he can get.

My dragon LOVES zucchini! She also loves pear but I try not to feed her too many fruits because I hear that sugars aren't too good for them. Has anyone heard different? Also, (and I bet this is a no-no)about once a week I give her a bite or two of avacado. I know they are hight in fat and all of that good stuff, but she loves avacado. I think a piece or two ocasionally doesn't hurt.

I feed mine the same thing I feed my iguanas. My basic recipe is three bundles of greens (usually turnip, but also collards or mustards, whatever looks best in the store) two grated zuccinnis, one grated mudium sweet potato, and one box of frozen mixed vegetables. Sometimes I add sprouts or grated broccolli. With three large iguanas and four adult beardies, this lasts about three days.
