full-spectrum lighting

caecilianman02 Nov 07, 2004 05:36 PM

Hi there:

I am looking for a smaller snake. My pet store has some Florida blue garters, and I understand that these guys need full-spectrum lighting. Does full-spectrum lighting only come from UVB, or do the UVA lights also release the full-spectrum lighting that a captive Florida blue garter would need?

You dont need full spectrum lighting. They are just trying to make some money off of you.I Don't think any snakes need that kind of lighting.Just get them a normal light that is on a timer.
